Comment on Where should I put a treadmill? by Derek Swain https://enlightenedtreadmills.com/where-should-i-put-a-treadmill/#comment-12 Wed, 28 Oct 2020 17:06:17 +0000 http://www.enlightenedtreadmills.com/?p=123#comment-12 I think it’s great that you mentioned how placing your treadmill in your basement will allow you to exercise in private since you’ll be in a more secluded area. My wife and I have been thinking about getting some exercise equipment so that we can lose weight before going on vacation next month, but we need to avoid waking up our newborn son when we work out. We’ll consider turning our basement into a home gym.

Hi Gina,
Thanks for your comment.
You should be fine. Concrete is made to take a lot of force. As long as you installed the laminate with a good underlayment then you should be fine. If you are still worried then you can simply buy a cheap treadmill mat which will cushion the floor even more. I recently wrote an article about exactly that. You can find it here. Thanks again.

Hi Martin,
Thanks for the comment. As far as shipping the x32i to Ireland, I’m not sure. You would have to contact NordicTrack. But I would check to see if Amazon.co.uk sells them. That’s probably your best bet.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for your comment.
Plaster damage is unlikely as long as there aren’t already cracks in it already. It’s very rare, but it can happen in older homes. I suggest you get a good quality treadmill mat. This help not only help with the vibration of the treadmill, but also help with dents in your floor.

Hi Waseem,
Thanks for your comment. As far as structural damage goes you should be alright as long as your home is built to code. Although if you do see any evidence of damage then you should correct the problem before you use your treadmill again. Also I recommend you get a treadmill mat. This can also help with vibration as well as any dents in your hardwood floor.
